Hoe Bee Coffee, founded by Mr. Ong Chwee Kar, started by selling coffee beans door-to-door and later established its first shop on Orchard Road in 1951 and well-loved by the Parliament House and the Lee family. Favoured by notable establishments, the business moved to Bukit Timah Road in 1985. Run by the founder's two sons since 2016, the 75-year-old brand is known for sourcing raw beans from Indonesia, roasting them locally in Singapore with a secret technique, and producing 100% pure coffee with a unique Nanyang flavour.
