Project Rescue: CNY’s Leftover Mandarin Oranges [Final]
After marmalade, glazed chicken wings, chewy cakes and bubble tea, we’re now going to learn how to create the delectable Summer Danish and Chocolate Orange Puff! These mouth-watering snacks look straight out of a café but they’re super simple to prepare with our easy recipe! All you need are some common kitchen ingredients, your mandarin oranges and an air fryer!

ONE. Summer Danish
Ingredients
- 2 Pieces Plain Prata Skin
- Orange Marmalade [ View Recipe ]
- Mandarin Oranges
- 20g Tapioca Starch
- 20g Tapioca Starch
- Egg Wash
- Icing Sugar
Method
1. Defrost the prata skins. Slice one of them into 9 strips.
2. Combine 3 slices into a braid. 9 slices should form 3 braids in total.
3. Join the braids to form a crust around the other prata skin.
4. Apply egg wash and air fry at 180°C for 10 mins.
5. Spread orange marmalade and then top it with orange slices and berries.
6. Dust some icing sugar and then air fry for another 8 mins at 180°C.
7. Dust more icing sugar on the danish and it is ready to serve! Enjoy!
TWO. Chocolate Orange Puff
Ingredients
- Prata Skins (Quantity to preference. 1 prata skin makes 2 puffs.)
- Mandarin Orange Marmalade [ View Recipe ]
- Chocolate (Cut into square pieces)
- Orange Slices
- Orange Slices
- Egg Wash
Method
1. Defrost the prata skin and cut each piece into quarters.
2. For each puff, you will need 2 quarter pieces. On one of the quarter pieces, spread some orange marmalade, then add a piece of chocolate and orange slice.
3. Fold and seal it with another quarter piece. Press on the edges with a fork to further seal it and create texture.
4. CBrush on egg wash and air fry at 180°C for 15 mins. And there you have it, super crispy and irresistible chocolate orange puffs!
