Potato Roses
Find the way to your partner’s heart through their stomach 🌹 This is a bouquet that will place a wide smile on every foodie’s face 😄 Simply follow our simple recipe to create your very own handmade Potato Roses—beautiful and scrumptious!
Ingredients
- 2 Eggs
- 2 Large Potatoes
- 3 Slices Ham
- Cooking Oil
Seasoning (quantity to preference)
- Salt
- Black Pepper
Method
1. Slice the potatoes into thin slices and then soak in hot water for 10 mins.
2. Add some water and cover with the lid. Swirl the rice balls around again for an even coating on all sides.
3. Add the salt & black pepper to the eggs and stir well for an even mixture. (Pro-tip: Use a pitcher with a pointed tip for easy pouring later on!)
4. Pat dry the potato slices before assembling the roses.
5. Lay down the potato slices from right to left, overlapping as shown in the video.
6. Roll tight from the first potato slice on the utmost right and place it in a small disposable muffin cup.
7. Tuck a few potato slices in the gap between the ham-and-potato roll and the muffin cup.
8. Repeat until all the potato and ham slices are used up.
9. Pour a bit of egg mixture into each muffin cup.
10. Brush some cooking oil on the surface of each “rose”.
11. Air fry at 190°C for 35 mins.
12. Once done, remove from the air fryer and line the tips of each potato slice (forming the “rose petals”) with tomato sauce.
13. Remove the potato roses from the muffin cups and assemble them nicely on a plate. Serve with salad for an aesthetically-pleasing, mouth-watering and nutritious dish!
