Crispy Glutinous Rice Balls
Most of us have eaten glutinous rice balls (a.k.a tangyuan 汤圆), an iconic dessert to be savoured during the Yuanxiao Festival (元宵节) which is coming up this Sunday 5 Feb! But have you tried Crispy Glutinous Rice Balls? Pan fried to perfection, this novel version of the classic tangyuan is crispy on the outside, soft & chewy on the inside—simply irresistible!

Ingredients
- 1 Packet Frozen Glutinous Rice Balls
- Cooking Oil
- 1/2 Cup Water
Method
1. Place the frozen glutinous rice balls on a wokpan. Add some oil and swirl the rice balls around to coat them with oil.
2. Add some water and cover with the lid. Swirl the rice balls around again for an even coating on all sides.
3. Cook on medium heat for 5 mins.
4. Once done, flip the rice balls and continue to pan fry the other side.
5. Once the rice balls are golden brown, they’re ready to serve! Enjoy!
